　　A new base(基地) opened to Asian elephants in Yunnan Province recently.The construction(施工）started at the end of 2020 and 1 (complete) in May 2021.

So they won't go into the nearby villages and cause conflicts(沖突)between humans and elephants. As long as there are enough food,the elephants will stay in their 9 (nature) home.”

　　The construction of this new base is also a good way to protect Asian elephants that are under first-class state protection in China. There are 185 wild Asian elephants now there, 10 increase of 105from the end of the last century. And this population continues to grow.
