中考英語(yǔ)知識(shí)點(diǎn)：表示地點(diǎn)、方位的介詞

　　1.at, in

　　at和in都可以用于表示“在某地”。at表示在較小的地點(diǎn)；in表示在較大的地點(diǎn)。

　　He lives in Shanghai.

　　2.in, on, to

　　in, on, to都可以用于表示方位。in表示在某一地區(qū)之內(nèi)的某個(gè)方位，屬于該范圍；to表示某一地區(qū)之外的某個(gè)個(gè)方位，不屬于該范圍；on表示與某地相鄰接壤。

　　Mexico is to the south of the US.

　　3.on, over, under, below

　　這一組介詞都用于表示“在某物上、下位置”，但用法不同。on指與物體表面接觸，即某物的表面上；over表示在某物的正上方，至垂直方向，它的反義詞是under；above表示位置高于某物，在其上方，但不是正上方，它的反義詞是below。

　　An airplane flew above our heads.

　　4.before, in front of, behind

　　這三個(gè)詞表示“在某物的前/后位置”。before和in front of都表示在某物前面，可以互換；behind表示在某物后面。
